About the Canmore Banff Driving Academy

The Canmore/Banff Driving Academy, in operation for over 12 years, is the oldest driving school in the Bow Valley, with award winning instructors and business credits. Offering instruction in Classes 4, 5,& 6, the school is approved and licensed by the Government of Alberta. We offer several courses for the novice driver to the fairly experienced, senior driver and foreigner from other countries, right through to the professional driver.

We offer the same accredited course for an Insurance Reduction as all other
driving schools in Alberta. This includes 15 hours classroom/10 hours in-car
driving with our professional driving instructor staff.

1. Convenient pick-up & drop-off services for info packages & brochures: Canmore: New Office Location #206, 838-10 ST (above the Flatbread Co. Restaurant), Canmore High School, & Canmore Registries, #104, 837-8St. In Banff: The Banff Bureau Registries, lower lever, Lux Theatre, and Rocky Mountain Insurance Agencies, 2nd. Floor, Bear St. Mall. Note: Please drop packages & deposits off at #206, 838-10 ST in Canmore, or The Banff Bureau in Banff.
2. Door to door pick-up for the classroom and in-car training anywhere in the Bow Valley. (including Banff)
3. Regular on-going MONTHLY classes held at the Radisson Conference Centre, Canmore, for both Canmore & Banff students and area.
4. In-car training 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. 7 days a week, year round.
5. Established business, with 3 Professional Licensed Instructors and two Classroom Teachers.
6. Automatic late model vehicles with dual mirrors & brakes.(included in price)
7. DDC Course and Professional Driver Improvement Courses for Tour Bus Co's, Hotels, Fire Dept. & Ambulance drivers.
8. Preparation & tips for passing the road test. Easy quick learning instruction for the parallel park. Brush-up lessons and CAR RENTAL/Road test.
9. Friendly, patient & experienced Instructor's.
10. Instructing drivers from other countries to learn about our rules & regulations, and sometimes learning how to drive on the other side of the roadway, plus preparation for the road test.
11. In May/05, GDL ( Graduated Driver Licensing), came into effect in Alberta. We offer the proper training & knowledge for drivers to understand this program. Follow the links for more information.
